Where to find reports
- Open Data Doctor → Scan history.
- Open a completed scan.
- Download the CSV files shown on the report (and check email attachments if you received them).
If a scan completed with no gaps, you may get a completion email without CSV attachments.
Common CSV kinds
Exact filenames can vary by scan type. Typical files:
| Report | Use it to |
|---|---|
| Metafield gaps (product / variant) | See which resources lack values; import or edit in Admin |
| Missing taxonomy category | Assign Shopify Standard Product Taxonomy categories (Admin or native product CSV) |
| Variant scan issues | Fix option naming, inconsistent option values, related metafield issues |
| Category attribute gaps | Fill empty shopify.* Category metafields |
| Category attributes recommended | Review AI suggestions, then apply in-app (Category Attribute Gaps flow) |
How to work a gap CSV
- Download the file and open it in a spreadsheet.
- Confirm handle / SKU / ID columns match your catalog.
- Fill missing values carefully (types matter: text, number, list, etc.).
- Either:
- Edit values in Shopify Admin, or
- Use this app’s metafield import (see CSV import help article) when the file is import-ready.
Scan status meanings
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Running / queued | Background job still working |
| Completed | Finished successfully (may still mean “zero gaps”) |
| Failed | Job could not finish—retry later or contact support with the scan time |
